Tested Windows configurations

Native window and example smoke checks cover the versions below. Qt 6.8 is a source minimum, not a promise of tested support for every Qt release. Gallery uses software rendering.

Troubleshooting

Module not found

The --qml path must contain the Syidax folder. Python uses qml-pure. Run from the unzipped SDK, independently of the source repository.

License is inactive or frozen

Download your QML Core certificate and pass it with --license. Web Core, Chart and Grid certificates do not activate QML. Monthly use ends at expiry. Annual licenses retain only releases covered by their update period.

Qt or plugin mismatch

Check the Qt version and architecture used to build plugins. Do not mix Python Qt bindings. qml-pure removes the compiled plugin ABI dependency.

PDF or icons missing

PDF requires the optional QtQuick.Pdf module. Other Core components remain usable without it. For icon packs and resource paths, read SDK docs/ICON-PACKS.md.

Save failure or corrupt settings

Examples write only to their application-data folder. Check permissions and disk space. Invalid JSON is backed up before reset. A failed save preserves your draft.

PDF loading contract

	SyPdfViewer uses the optional QtQuick.Pdf module. src supports local file:/qrc: URLs. Download HTTP(S) sources in the host first, then pass a local URL. Password-protected documents require a host adapter; the viewer reports an error instead of claiming readiness.

PDF loading contract

	Readonly error explains failure; fallbackText controls the visible fallback. Replacing src removes the previous view and ignores late callbacks. reload() repeats the load. QML object creation alone never implies loaded.

Navigation and host actions

	page is 1-based and bounded by pageCount when ready; setPage(n) uses native navigation. Navigation within the view also updates page. zoom/setZoom(n) use 25–400 percent and synchronize with native renderScale in both directions. pageChanged/zoomChanged are ordinary property notifications: an invalid assignment can notify its normalization too. A no-op setter does not emit another loaded event.
	showToolbar, downloadable, printable and fullscreenable default to true. fileName is display metadata independent of src. labels supplies previous/next/zoomOut/zoomIn/print/download/fullscreen/restore text; emptyText and fallbackText are also host-localized strings. The default size is 480 × 640 logical pixels.
	printPdf()/download() emit printRequested/downloadRequested({src,fileName}) with a source set. Printing, saving and network access belong to the host. setFullScreen()/setRestore()/setToggle() move/restore the frame in the window overlay; Escape restores it. document exposes the native view for observation; never assign readonly currentPage.
	The example needs a real report.pdf beside the QML file and a QtQuick.Pdf host. Without either the error path is expected.
